  • It’s All About You! – This fight was one of the biggest fights in boxing history, dubbed as the ‘Fight of the Century’. Celebrities, athletes and high-powered individuals were all in the building to see Floyd in this fight. Sometimes you need to soak up your big moment and cherish the attention that you deserve.

 

  • Defense Is Key – Floyd’s strong defensive prowess was one of the big takeaways from his fight against Pacquaio. It was obvious that Floyd was making it extremely difficult to even be touched. Focus on your defensive moves this week and really engage your core to add extra stability while doing so.

 

  • Stay Calm and Prepare – The original Mayweather v Pacquaio fight was slated for 2009, but didn’t actually happen until 2015. Although he ultimately returned to the ring, if that would have been his final fight, it was an extremely strong way to finish his career! Floyd’s 42nd fight took place on September 17th, 2011 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In this fight against Victor Ortiz, Floyd came out in the first round with impressive hand speed in order to set himself in a dominant position early on. Since his opponent was south paw for this fight, Floyd tweaked his defense in order to most effectively take down Ortiz.

Background History:

Floyd’s 50th fight took place on August 26th, 2017 in Floyd’s current hometown of Las Vegas. This fight was the single biggest payday in the history of boxing – and to put that into perspective, Floyd had some epic cash outs in his previous 49 fights. Floyd came out of retirement specifically for this fight against Conor McGregor. It was an extremely highly publicized event, with tons of celebrities, promotions and flash surrounding the big night. During this fight, Floyd was extremely successful in tiring his opponent out and often used his cross to the head to really start dominating in the 7th round.

Floyd ultimately won the by TKO in the 10th round, which marks Floyd’s 27th KO, and his final professional fight to date.
